Kindle screensavers: Mike Kungl's Disney illustrations.
For those of you who are Disney fans but prefer an art deco look to that of art nouveau, Mike Kungl's work might be something you'd like. His paintings are fantastic: crisp lines and a stylish feel that still manage to maintain that classic "Disney" air. You can see his portfolio at MKungl Studios.

I've turned four of Kungl's Disney pieces into screensavers for your Kindle. Each screensaver file is grayscale and 600x800 in size -- click on the preview images for the full-sized pictures.

Definitely! After "Triton Beach Club," "The Midnight Hour Ballroom" is my favorite of Kungl's many Disney paintings.

Do you have any of these in color? I've seen the Ariel one and I think the Tink one before, but I think the Cinderella one would look gorgeous in color because I like how it looks now and I'd like to see if they got the colors right on her dress and hair because most of the merchandise gets it wrong!

I posted the link to Kungl's portfolio, which includes all of these images in color in the "Disney Fine Art" gallery. :) I think the Cinderella one looks great, but her hair is a bit blonder than it ought to be -- just like on most merchandise. Ah, well!

Aren't they? I saw a framed print of "Triton Beach Club" in person when my husband and I went on a Disney cruise in December, and it was absolutely gorgeous. If it didn't cost several hundred bucks, it would've gone home with us!

Nice one! If I could write like this I would be well chuffed. The more I read articles of such quality as this (which is rare), the more I think there might be a future for the Net. Keep it up, as it were.
